Described by some as being a paradise, Porthcurno is located in the far west of Cornwall has won many awards and it’s easy to see why. With gorgeous fine soft white sand washed by a sea that turns turquoise in the sun and high cliffs on both sides providing shelter, it’s an oasis of stunning natural beauty, overlooking the infamous Logan Rock and weather permitting onward towards Lizard Point (most southerly point in the UK)

BRING YOUR DOG

The apartment is dog friendly (max. 2) and so too is the Porthcurno beach
​

Dogs are welcome on this beach all year round at any time, between 1 May and 30 September (8:00am - 7:00pm)  seasonal dog restrictions are in place

MINACK THEATRE
 

Internationally renowned Minack Theatre, built in the 1930s by theatrical visionary Rowena Cade and her faithful gardener, can be visited all year round (click above for link to their website).

The Minack is a unique theatre perched on the cliffs high above the Atlantic ocean, with stunning sea vista. They put on a full programme of drama, musicals and opera every summer, together with music, comedy and story-telling - well worth a visit and taking in a performance

The theatre is located within 5 minute walk from our apartment.

POLDARK - Connection

Described by some as being a paradise. It’s easy to see why the location manager picked Porthcurno beach to feature as Nampara Cove in series 2 episode 2.

With gorgeous fine soft white sand washed by a sea that turns turquoise in the sun and high cliffs on both sides providing shelter, it’s an oasis of stunning natural beauty.

In episode two, Demelza and Ross find themselves walking along Porthcurno in a dream sequence on a spectacular sunny day.
